Simple products are easy to photograph. That's the public opinion. But take a closer look at this part which is used in a glassdoorlock. As you can see it's nothing special, but as you look closer, it's scratched and already has some rustspots. These rustspots are very common, because it's surface rust, which sits on top of the stainless steel. Problem is that you do not see this when you are photographing. You see this when you are retouching and the picture is blown up on your screen. All the little tics , scratches and spots need to be cleaned. Maybe not as picky as you would be with jewellery, but as these products are used on a webshop surrounding, with magnifying options, it needs to look good. Oh.... and off course it needs to be sharp and on a white background.
